Charity: Hospice

What does woman of the year and my mom have in common? Both are unique, hard workers, kind, show perseverance, go out of their way to help others, are selfless, and care about the world around them. My mom believes that everyone should do one random act of kindness a day. She does a million. She takes groceries to an elderly man that she doesn't really know. She gives money to people who need it; all they have to do is ask. She takes care of everyone; family, friends, and anyone who needs help. My mom drives around people who don't have transportation even if it is out of her way. She works at a grocery store with no hopes of ever getting out of there, but she is pleasant and doesn't complain about it. She makes the best of any situation. She would do anything within her power to help someone. My mom is a friend, advocate, caregiver, and my hero. She shows enormous strength, even after losing her parents within the last two years, by staying positive about life and the future. She encourages me to doing my best so I will have a better life than she had. My mom deserves to be given a taste of the kindness and generosity that she shows to everyone day after day.
